The Services We Provide

College Access Fairfax is committed to helping Fairfax County Public School (FCPS) students with the daunting and complex task of acquiring financial aid for post-secondary education. We help students realize their dreams for higher education through:

Workshops

Throughout the school year, we offer free workshops at various locations around Fairfax County to help FCPS students and their families prepare for post-secondary school education. Descriptions of each of our workshops can be found on our Workshops page. Details of dates and locations for each workshop can be found on our Calendar page.

Scholarships

College Access Fairfax offers a number of scholarships to FCPS student. Descriptions of each of our scholarships as well as links to many more can be found on our Scholarships page. Please remember that you should never have to pay for a scholarship search.

Champions

Our Financial Aid Champions assist students with all aspects of paying for college; working with students one-on-one to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), scholarship searches, and advocating for students who have special circumstances which affect their eligibility for Federal Student Aid.  Champions are currently positions in ten schools in Fairfax County with high populations of students receiving free or reduced lunches and/or high enrollment in English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) classes. Visit our Champions page to meet our Champions and see which schools they serve.

Project Discovery

College Access Fairfax is a partner agency for Project Discovery Virginia, a program designed to help students stay in and graduate high school and make a smooth transition to post-secondary school. We currently operate at three FCPS high schools, Hayfield, Mount Vernon and West Potomac. Visit our Project Discovery page to learn more about this program.
