Financial Aid Champions

Financial Aid Champions will work with any FCPS Senior regardless of which FCPS school they attend.  In addition, our Champions focus on several high schools with high populations of students receiving free or reduced lunches, and/or high enrollment in English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) classes. Champions assist students with all aspects of paying for college including FAFSA (or VASA) completion,  scholarship searches, and advocating for students with special circumstances affecting eligibility.   This suppport most often occurs during the school day, although Champions are also available via e-mail, phone and Zoom to support parents and students at other select times.

You may also send any general questions you have to questions@collegeaccessfairfax.org and a Champion will respond as quickly as possible.

Champions will begin taking appointments for one-on-one FAFSA (or VASA) support in December, 2023.   FAFSA is only completed by students in their senior year. Please gather the required information by the time of your appointment – you can find a list of information and documents needed on our Resources page  It is recommended that both the student and one parent obtain their FSA ID prior to the appointment.  You may directly contact any of the Champions listed below regardless of which school the student attends.
