Financial Aid Champions

Financial Aid Champions are positioned in FCPS high schools with high populations of students receiving free or reduced lunches, and/or high enrollment in English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) classes. Champions assist students with all aspects of paying for college including FAFSA completion,  scholarship searches, and advocating for students with special circumstances affecting eligibility

While this support most often occurs during the school day, Champions are also available via e-mail, phone and Zoom to speak to parents and students (contact information below).  Although Champions have been assigned to individual schools, you may contact any Champion regardless of the school your child attends.  Note that all FCPS students can work with a Champion, even if their school is not specifically listed.

You may also send any general questions you have to questions@collegeaccessfairfax.org and a Champion will respond as quickly as possible.

Champions begin taking appointments for one-on-one FAFSA support starting on October 1, 2021. FAFSA is only completed by students in their senior year. Please gather the required information by the time of your appointment. It is also recommended that both the student and one parent obtain their FSA ID prior to the appointment.
