The Services We Provide

College Access Fairfax is committed to helping Fairfax County Public School (FCPS) students with the daunting and complex task of acquiring financial aid for post-secondary education. We help students realize their dreams for higher education through:

Workshop Descriptions

Throughout the school year, we offer free workshops at various locations around Fairfax County to help FCPS students and their families prepare for post-secondary school education. Descriptions of each of our workshops can be found on our Workshops Descriptions page. Details of dates and locations for each workshop can be found on our Calendar page.

College Access Fairfax offers a number of scholarships to FCPS students. Descriptions of each of our scholarships as well as links to many more can be found on our Scholarships page. Please remember that you should never have to pay for a scholarship search.

Remember to be a careful consumer – you should never have to pay for a scholarship or financial aid search.  There are many private companies in the U.S. which offer PAID college and financial aid services to students and their families.  They may invite you to attend a “free” workshop or interview at which time they will encourage you to register for their paid services.  You can always reach out to your College and Career Specialist or your school counselor for free information and support about college applications, financial aid and scholarships.

Financial Aid Champions

Our Financial Aid Champions assist students with all aspects of paying for college; working with students one-on-one to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), scholarship searches, and advocating for students who have special circumstances which affect their eligibility for Federal Student Aid.  Champions are currently positioned in fifteen schools in Fairfax County with high populations of students receiving free or reduced lunches and/or high enrollment in English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) classes. However, all FCPS students, regardless of which high school they attend, can make an appointment for one-on-one support with one of our Champions.
